The following terms & conditions and refund policies apply to products and services offered on the writetotop.com website.

Terms

“Product” refers to ebooks. “Service” refers to training (coaching, workshops, seminars, courses), assessment services, editing, and admissions essay assistance.   The “Customer” is any person who pays for and receives a Product or Service from this website. This “Website” is writetotop.com, under ownership and administration of The Write Sense (TWS). A “business day” is any day from Monday to Friday. A “Participant” is anyone who purchases a training service and joins in that service.

Conditions

Product (ebook)

The product, an ebook (electronic book) file, is delivered as a secured PDF file. To read a PDF e-book, customers need a device (e.g., computer) capable of displaying documents in PDF format. Purchase of a Product from this website entitles the purchaser to a copy of that file, which may be shared between any device(s) owned by and registered to that purchaser only.
Products on this website are delivered via a download link. Upon confirmation of payment customers receive a download link and a transaction confirmation. Save this confirmation for future reference. If Customer has any issues with the download, Customer may ask for assistance at support@writetotop.com Please allow up to 48 hours for a reply.
E-book(s) can be downloaded up to two (2) times. For security reasons, the download link will remain active for 10 days only. If the Product has not been downloaded within the 10-day time frame, the download link will close and the Product will no longer be available. Customer may request a new link.
Save the downloaded file to a device(s) and keep it safe. To ensure a proper transfer and saving of the file, it is recommended that the device be a desktop or laptop computer (not phone or tablet). If Customer loses the file for any reason (including change of or damage to a device, loss of file, and so on), a new copy will require a new purchase.

Refund policy

A successful download is considered a delivered Product. Once downloaded, a Product cannot be refunded or exchanged. It is the customer’s responsibility to download the Product in the given time frame and to safely store the Product on his/her device. Lost Products will be replaced only as a result of repurchase. The sole exception to this rule is when an undelivered Products is a result of a technical fault/unforeseen error that has occurred with the website, the payment process, a payment provider error, or a faulty file. Should this occur, TWS shall make any previously purchased Product available to the Customer as soon as is practical to do so and once any fault or error has been rectified.

Customer may install the purchased Product to all of customer’s own devices. Customer may not install the Product on third-party systems. If customer wishes to share the Product with others, an additional license purchase must be made. Sharing the Product without a purchase confirmation is strictly prohibited.

This website offers e-book sample pages for viewing on the website. The Product will include this material and that detailed in the Product Description section of the website store. No other material will be delivered to the customer.

Copyright

All Products on this website are protected under copyright and other intellectual property laws and are the sole property of TWS. Customers who pay the price set by the author/publisher to purchase a Product from this website receive a license for use and are allowed to use said Product in any reasonable non-commercial manner in compliance with copyright law and our terms and conditions. The Customer acknowledges that the Product purchased through this website is for his/her personal use and cannot be sub-licensed or resold. On purchasing the Product, a Customer is entitled to a non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-distributive right of use. The Customer may not modify, transmit, publish, participate in the transfer or sale of, reproduce, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, display, or in any way exploit, any of the content of any Product purchased through this website, in whole or in part. By downloading or otherwise accessing a Product from this website, the Customer hereby acknowledges and agrees to these terms.

Hard copy versions of Products may be purchased through third-party vendors. Customer agrees to abide by the policies of those vendors. TWS does not take responsibility for any issues associated with the purchase of Products from third-party vendors.

Disclaimer

Products on this website are safe for download and do not carry any malware that could harm and/or damage the Customer’s computer/device or smartphone. However, the Product is purchased at the Customer’s risk, and the Customer should take the necessary steps to ensure the safety of their computer, device or smartphone.

Services

(1) Assessment service

Service (1), assessment service, provides Customer with personalized feedback on written submissions of IELTS Writing samples only.

All correspondence is conducted via email. Customer who requires face-to-face interactions must refer to Service 2-A (coaching).

Upon confirmation of payment Customer receives a download link and a transaction confirmation. The download link delivers written instructions on how to proceed with the Service.

Customer who purchases multiple submissions may not substitute elements of that purchase. For example, a Customer who purchased 5 full tests must submit 5 Task 1 samples and 5 task 2 samples. Additional Task 2 samples in lieu of Task 1 samples is not permitted.

All submissions must be made in typewritten form as a Word file, PDF file, simple text file, or in the body of an email. Feedback is delivered as a Word file or PDF file.

Once a sample submission is made, no refunds may be issued for that submission.

Customer who purchases multiple submissions may cancel the service before all feedback is delivered. Refunds are assessed at a non-discounted rate for each submission submitted. This means that submissions already processed will be charged at single-submission rates. Remaining value will be refunded for cancelled submissions.

  1. A sample submission is processed and returned to customer within 2 to 3 business days.
  2. Customer may request additional feedback. Customer may not request a refund if dissatisfied with the feedback given.
  3. All samples and feedback become the intellectual property of TWS and may be used for promotional materials and/or to create sellable content.
(2) Training services

(2-A) Coaching, (2-B) Workshop, (2-C) Seminar

Training services (2) provides Customer with TWS’ exclusive, customized IELTS Writing training programs, including private coaching, group coaching, seminars, and workshops.

Conduct

All Participants are here to improve their communication skills. This means we all have to work together. Participants agree to respect each other and their coach and to allow each person to speak when it is his/her turn without interruption. Participants agree to avoid discussions on politics, religion, gender, age, or nationality issues, or any other sensitive topic.

Technical issues

Participants will be able to join the session/workshop 5 minutes before the scheduled start in order to adjust their webcam, microphone, headphones, etc.

Internet Connection: The internet connection is each Participant’s responsibility. No refunds will be given or rescheduling allowed if a Participant cannot connect to the internet or loses connection during the session. If the coach (Adam) has technical issues, a makeup session will be scheduled.

All Participants agree to join the session with video and audio enabled. There will be no exceptions. If you do not have a webcam and microphone, it is your responsibility to get these tools before the coaching sessions begin. 

Participants unfamiliar with Zoom are responsible for familiarizing themselves with the software before the session/workshop begins.

Materials

Some of the coaching, workshop, and seminar materials were created by TWS exclusively for the purposes of training and are protected by international copyright laws. No part of the materials, sample submissions, or video recordings may be distributed, in whole or in part, without the written permission of TWS.

Each Participant will receive materials relevant to the session in either hard copy or ebook (PDF) format. Participants may request and may receive a video recording of the session/workshop if such is available.

Sample submissions

All writing submissions must be typed and submitted as a Word file, Google Doc, simple .txt file, or in the body of an email. Writing samples submitted as a picture (JPG) or PDF will not be processed. Handwritten samples will not be processed. Refunds will not be given for these submissions. Handwritten samples may be submitted for evaluation of neatness and legibility only.

Seminar Participants may receive their assessments as a Word file (recommended as this has a Track Changes feature) or as a PDF file. Post-seminar submissions must be made within 30 days following the workshop. Any submission made after 30 days will be subject to a 15USD service charge. See product description for full details.

The Workshop is for writing only. Reading, grammar, speaking, and other skills are not discussed as independent topics. Participants will, however, be able to practice their listening and speaking skills by engaging in the discussions.

Video recording

An edited video recording of the workshop may be made available to Participants.

Participants agree to allow Write to the Top to post selected segments of the video on the writetotop.com website, the Write to the Top YouTube channel, or the @writop Instagram page for promotional purposes. All faces will be blurred but voices may be heard clearly and writing samples will be visible.

These recordings are subject to copyright protections and may not be redistributed in whole or in part without the written permission of Adam Benn, Write to the Top, The Write Sense

Cancellations, Refunds, and Changes
(2-A) Coaching:
Cancellation 0–2 days before scheduled workshop No refund given or changes allowed
Cancellation 3–5 days before scheduled workshop 75% refund
Cancellation 6+ before scheduled workshop Participant may select a new date or request a full (100%) refund
(2-B & 2-C) Workshop and/or Seminar:
Cancellation 0–4 days before scheduled workshop No refund given or changes allowed
Cancellation 5–7 days before scheduled workshop 75% refund
Cancellation 8+ before scheduled workshop Participant may select a new date or request a full (100%) refund

If a Participant does not connect to the workshop on his/her scheduled date: No refund (0%) will be given or changes allowed.

If not enough Participants join the workshop (minimum 4 participants to open a workshop), participant may ask for a full (100%) refund or schedule a new workshop date.

Any post-seminar sample submission must be received within 30 days of the workshop. Late submissions will be charged a fee of 15USD.

If Participant downloaded an ebook as part of a training package, the fee for the ebook is not refunded.

* Participant’s English level is up to each individual to evaluate. There is no level check available. If participant feels the workshop was too difficult, no refund will be issued or rescheduling permitted without a new purchase.

Disclosure
Not TWS, Write to the Top, or Adam Benn, is affiliated with the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia, or Cambridge Assessment English. All information and instructions provided here are based on Adam’s professional experience only.
This is a training service only. TWS does not guarantee any result on the official IELTS exam.

(3) Editing Service

Service (3), editing service, provides Customer with customized editing and proofreading services for academic and professional texts.
Customer engages TWS or its affiliate Editorproof.com for projects based on Customer’s needs.
Project fees are evaluated according to project requirements. All fees are expressed through a written quotation.
Once the fee is agreed upon, Customer makes payment before editing work begins. In some cases, fees may be split into two payments.
Project is considered complete when Customer and TWS agree that the project has been completed to Customer’s satisfaction.
Once work begins on a project, no refunds will be issued. If Customer cancels the order on a longer project before completion, a refund may be assessed based on work completed but not exceeding 50% of fee paid.
All work remains the intellectual property of Customer. TWS will delete all files at Customer’s request.
TWS guarantees superior quality work on all projects. TWS does not guarantee outcomes resulting from submission of this work.

(4) University application assistance Service

Service (4), university application assistance service, provides Customer with personalized feedback and guidance on application materials including personal statements, statements of purpose, supplementary essays, and other required documents.

Customer engages TWS for projects based on Customer’s needs.

Project fees are evaluated according to project requirements. All fees are expressed through a written quotation.

Once the fee is agreed upon, Customer makes payment before editing work begins. In some cases, fees may be split into two payments.

Project is considered complete when Customer and TWS agree that the project has been completed to Customer’s satisfaction.

 Once work begins on a project, no refunds will be issued. If Customer cancels the order on a longer project before completion, a refund may be assessed based on work completed but not exceeding 50% of fee paid.

All work remains the intellectual property of Customer. TWS will delete all files at Customer’s request.

TWS guarantees superior quality work on all projects. TWS does not guarantee outcomes resulting from submission of this work.

These Terms & Conditions may be changed at any time and for any reason.
